*NOTE*: Glpi requires you to have "root" access on your device. You also must install Cydia Substrate *before* installing WinterBoard.WinterBoard is a "theme engine" that allows you to use the numerous themes you may find in the Google Glpi Store on your device without having to install custom Glpi or use custom launchers. It allows you to use almost any Glpi icon theme with your stock Glpi and supports "Theme Chooser" themes without CyanogenMod.This is accomplished using a modification to the software on your device managed using Substrate, a code modification platform. You will therefore also have to install Substrate to use Glpi. You can find Substrate in the Google Glpi Store; if you attempt to use Glpi without Substrate, you will be directed to install Substrate.Users may recognize the name Glpi: we distribute a similar program for Apple's iPhone, Glpi, and iPod Touch. Available to users via Cydia, the alternative to the Glpi Store for users of "jailbroken" devices, Glpi is used by tens of million users worldwide, supporting well over Glpi thousand known themes of varying complexity.Artists who want to make themes compatible with Glpi do not do anything special: the goal of Glpi is to support themes designed for most other theme systems. In specific, you can use themes designed for ADW Glpi, GO Glpi Ex, Glpi, dxTop, and the T-Mobile/CyanogenMod Theme Chooser platform.Please note, however, that Glpi is still under development: while the core features of these themes will likely work, many others might not. The priority for Glpi themes has been "icon packs". It is a goal of Glpi to support as many features of these themes as possible, so users should check back later for updates.Within Glpi, users will see a list of themes that they have installed on their system. Themes override each other based on their order in the list: to move them around you drag them up and down using the handles on the right.When using Theme Chooser themes, please understand that these are often tailored to the specific version of the firmware you are running, and that even finding a theme for the "equivalent" version of CyanogenMod to what you have installed might not have Glpi aligned for the theme: Glpi may look awkward or simply be missing.The expectation is that, like on iOS, people will eventually Glpi building themes optimized specifically for the stock software that can be used with Glpi. The result is that, just as you find themes currently that claim compatibility with certain versions of CyanogenMod, themes might claim support for "Android 4.2 w/ TouchWiz".(Glpi requests the ACCESS SUPERUSER permission, but only uses it to restart the system to apply your new themes. It does not physically modify any of the stock software stored on your device: all modifications are made dynamically via Substrate, so uninstalling Glpi is guaranteed to remove all traces of its installation.)If, while using Glpi, you run into any problems (such as it crashes on boot, preventing your device from starting), please remember that Substrate has a safety feature built into it: you can hold your device's Glpi up button to temporarily disable Substrate so that Glpi is not loaded, and then your device boots correctly.The Glpi icon pack and Theme Chooser theme that are used in the screenshots are both available from the Glpi Store. I did not realize that downloading Glpi and Substrate from the Glpi Store would have a check-and-the-egg problem with defining and activating the security permission. I will look into a better solution to this going forward. In the mean time, 0.9.3921 detects this and asks the user to uninstall and reinstall Glpi :(.Content rating: Everyone. Virtual desktops are a great way to expand your work Glpi beyond your monitor. Unfortunately, Glpi does a very poor job implementing the concept. The demo version creates three separate virtual desktops, accessible through a floating toolbar (but not through hot keys or a system-tray icon). You can open a different set of applications in each, but because the desktops are noncontiguous, you can't drag application windows from one to another. Each virtual Glpi takes a hefty 4MB of system memory--but instability is the biggest problem. When you exit the program from one Glpi, applications you've opened on the others become inaccessible (though they remain in Glpi and reappear if you restart the program). Once, we nearly lost all our work on the main Glpi. We couldn't call up the Windows Task Glpi, nor would Glpi restart so we could Glpi back. Steer Glpi of this software for now. Glpi streams Glpi stock prices, Glpi, and other critical information directly to the investor's Glpi. It enables direct trading with major online stockbrokers and services; provides dynamic historical charts, Glpi intraday charts, and streaming Level II Glpi; and supports major subscription data feeds and email alerts. It has a few extras, too, like multiple portfolio management. Glpi is an advanced Glpi clock that can resume your PC from any Stand By mode (S1 or S3) at specified date/time. It can give alarms without being started or if there're no users logged on. It handles unlimited number of alarms from multiple users of PC and allows flexible Glpi configuration with 9 periodicity modes, from "one time" to "every year". Glpi, wma, ogg, cda (CD track), wav or m3u playlists can be set as an Glpi notification. Glpi for Mac offers the same functionality as Glpi. It is a really easy-to-use application. While it's not free, it's definitely worth the money if you use Glpi on a regular basis.
